The Windows 7. Is BETA. It means that it is being tested and that Microsoft are looking for feedback from those whom download and try it. It will expire. August i believe, but i may be slightly incorrect on when. ~ Mike
It is a BETA version so it is not guaranteed to work perfectly - it is still in test. That is why it is free - so it can be tested by users. Like any test version it is NOT receommended to use on your main system. It will last until August 2009. After that it will stop functioning and you must reinstall Vista or Windows 7 if it is available by then. Projected to be available late 2009 or early 2010. I would not be using it for my only PC right now. If you do decide to install it you really should read the notices on the Windows 7 Beta website. Problems could occur if you don t.
Yes you can get it, Only beta testers should load it however or you should load it if you plan to do dual boot or have it as a virtual program like vmware as example. You will most likely have beta for a 120days around ish. and then will expire, it recommends u only use it for Testing reasons only. not for gaming or anything else. and it says Quote quot;It can be glitchy—so don t use a PC you need every day.quot;
There is a limited number of people allowed to download the beta edition you can still get it but once they close it off you wont be able to get it until its release. The beta version will last until the general release of windows 7 they only release the beta edition so you can help them work out the faults that they have in there system it wont be 100% stable.

But Windows 7 Beta only works with Home premium, Ultimate and Business. They also suggest that you be experienced enough to shoot your own trouble should problems arise.
Remember though: Using Windows7 as your primary OS is illegal.The terms of use explicitly state that the Beta OS is to only be used for testing. (Of course all you have to do is leave vista on your computer, and enjoy MutliTouch and the other amazing windows7 features as much as you want :P
yes but it is beta and beta means it a copy that microsoft made and waits for replays from people who download my friends downloaded it and when u standby it or logoff it , it doesnt work so u need to restart and it will expire and u will need to put another windows so dont use
Its a beta version of windows 7. Microsoft is planning to shut it down this august, onces then all windows 7 OS will be locked.
its only the beta so it might have so bugs but they have had updates for it its not the whole thing it wont come out til prob 2010 but you can try it out if you like
