Im trying to install windows 7 beta on my moms windows xp 32 bit, AND? -

There is only 1 partition on C drive and that is for XP, i tried using partition magic 8 but i kept getting an error message saying ERROR:27 cannot lock drivequot; So I cant install the beta without completely destroying XP. and since i bought the cpu from HP there is no XP disk. so i cant just revert from windows 7 back to XP when the deadline is here. what do i do now?

boot the windows XP in safe mode and then run partition magic software. using partition magic 8, create a new partition. and install windows 7 in that drive.
