Will my programs run after upgrading to Windows 7? -

(1) I m currently running Windows Vista Ultimate SP 2 (2) I m going to upgrade to Windows 7 Beta 7000 (3) Will my programs work once I upgrade? (4) Can I still connect my hardware devices which are vista compatible? (5) Specifically, Can I connect my 3rd Generation Zune 120 GB?

You do realize it is still in Beta 1a testing..? And you better backup all of your files first on to DVD or an external HDD!

As of tomorrow it is a public beta. It is one step away from being the final build, and aside from performance tweaks there won t be much different so don t worry about stability. Every program I had installed on Vista works fine in Windows 7. Compatibility issues should be rare, but it is advisable to keep Vista installed on a separate partition in case errors do occur and while data loss is rare, you should always back your stuff up when undertaking such a task.

Like the others have said, there is a possibility that they won t. Win 7 beta is meant for people to take a look at, it is not fully stable or ready for full use yet. Also, when you instal it, weather you format your HDD or use different partitions, your programs wont be there and you will need to reinstal everything.

uhh you are gonna upgrade to a beta betas are for testing meaning there could be tons of bugs and shouldnt be used as your main os stick with XP then upgrade once windows 7 isnt in beta and is actually finished

Yes i just upgrading to Windows 7 7000 and everything run just fine

not all product will work on windows 7 because it s still in beta..so my advise is wait for the full version of windows 7 to come out..or if u insist, back up all your file before changed to windows 7.. Peace
