Will Windows Vista 64 drivers work for Windows 7 64? -

I have a Dell M1330 laptop which is 64 bit capable. Right now I m running 32 bit windows 7 (way better than vista i might add) and I want to upgrade to 64 bit. Does anyone know if the Vista 64 drivers offered from Dell will work as drivers for Windows 7 64? Thank You.

Hi Greg D, I’m Ron, a member of the Windows Outreach Team. I thought I’d stop by just to drop off some info that might help you out here. Most Beta users have been seeing good crossover between their Vista 64bit drivers and Windows 7 drivers, however, just keep in mind that this is a Beta and hasn’t been fully worked out yet. Developers have been given the Windows Driver Kit for Windows 7 and rest-assured they’re working on updating things on their end. I tried checking on the Dell side of things, and according to this post: http://en.community.dell.com/forums/t/19... they don’t have any Windows 7-specific drivers on hand. Hope this helps out a bit.
