So, why should I upgrade to Windows 7 Beta from XP SP3? -

I have everything just how I like it in XP. I removed components I didn t want and services I didn t need before I even installed it. It s lean, mean, and the entire install weighs in under 550mb. So the question is...why should I upgrade to Windows 7? Only well thought out answers please. This isn t a place for fanboys or immature posters.

Hey Ron Brown- Here are two examples of reasons why people are trying out the Windows 7 Beta. ? It allows people to see what features are possible with OS from Microsoft. This is one way to see it for free and give feedback on what they want to see when the final version is released and what they want changed. ? Some people try it out to compare it with their current OS to see if it is worth switching once the final version is released. If you are thinking about trying out Windows 7 Beta, note that it will expire Aug. 1 at which time you will have to clear the Windows 7 partition if you dual booted with XP. You can only upgrade to Windows 7 Beta if you are running Vista. XP is so old now.even XP is working fine, but it is sooooo old for now. it should reach to its end of life now.. Windows 7 is touch enabled, if you have a touch anabled Monitor, you can enjoy the multi touch. New improved task bar, you can pin applications in the task bar and when you minimize more than one window from one application, they minimize in one IKON and when you hower your mouse you get small preview of all the windows of the application. you can say that this facility is also available in VISTA but this one is more improved than VISTA handwriting recognition, if you have a stylus pen its the best but even if you don t have a pen you can write with your mouse. stability, most of the beta versions are prone to unstable but windows 7 never gave me any stability problem. And the best thing is ....when I run internet on my computer. it gives me very smooth and fast speed then XP or VISTA.
